Government Changes

From 1st October, the government has told GP practices to change the way they work. You may see a difference in how you contact us, and how long you have to wait for appointments. If you have any concerns about this, we encourage you to contact your MP Melanie Onn.

Our contracted hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 – 18:30. Our consulting times are between these hours. Please note at certain times, e.g. lunch or the ends of the day, a clinician may not be present in this building.

In case of emergency please dial 999 or attend the local Emergency Department.

Update on Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) for Weight Loss

You may have seen reports in the news this morning that the NHS can now prescribe Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for weight loss. However, we have received guidance from our local Integrated Care Board (ICB) stating that Mounjaro is not yet available for prescribing for weight loss in our area. Further information can be found on the Let's Get Better website

As a result, we are currently unable to offer GP appointments specifically to discuss Mounjaro for this purpose.

We understand that this may be disappointing news. Please be assured that if local prescribing guidance changes, we will update our procedures accordingly and inform patients as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding.

NHS App

Did you know you can manage repeat prescriptions from our surgery in the NHS App?

You can easily choose where your prescriptions are sent. So, if you know you’ll be away from home or you are moving home, you can change your nominated pharmacy from within the app.

You can also order your prescription at any time that suits you. There’s no need to wait to join a telephone queue or wait until the GP surgery opens.

It’s easy to use, and, if you hit a snag, you can go to ‘help’ in the top right-hand corner of the app or visit the NHS website.

More information on the NHS app can be found on the NHS website
